Guwahati Kaziranga Nameri Majuli Sivasagar Tour



Day 1 Guwahati.

On arrival at Guwahati Airport .Meet and greet drive to Kaziranga (220 Kms / 4.5 hrs drive). Kaziranga National park a UNESCO world heritage site is the most popular wildlife destination of Northeast India and dots it name among the world tourist destination for the highest population of World famous One Horned Rhinoceros in its natural habitat. Apart from the Big five animal – One Horned Rhino, Elephant, Water Bufallo, Tiger and Swamp Deer one can see equally fascinating bird life including Bengal Florican, Greater Adjutent Stork, Great Hornbill, Grey Headed Fish Eagle, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Pelican, Pigeons, parakeets. Etc. Upon arrival check in to Hotel. Evening free at leisure and stay overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 2 : Kaziranga National Park

Early morning wake up with a wakeup call for Elephant ride (5.30 to 6.30/ 6.30 to 7.30) After Elephant ride return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will be taken to the Jeep Safari at Central Range.Afternoon Jeep safari at Western Range. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Jeep Safari Entry Timings are: 0700 AM till 0900 AM and 1330 PM till 1500 PM. Elephant Safari Timings are : 0530 AM till 0730 AM

Evening enjoy aultural dance show of Assam. Overnight at Kaziranga.

In Kaziranga to enjoy cultural show you have options, as some local youth organized Cultural show in Kohora in auditorium or open field and also you can go to Orchid And Biodiversity Park which is approx. 3 Kms far from Kohora(Main Market area). They usually organize 3 to 5 types of cultural dance along with famous Bihu dance. Dinner & Overnight at Kaziranga National Park

Day 3 Kaziranga - Majuli (135 Kms 2 Hrs Drive, 1 ½ Hrs Ferry Ride)

Breakfast at hotel, then heading out to the next destination and drive around 120km and reach river bank and cruise across the mighty river Brahmaputra (1.5hrs) to reach Majuli Island. Majuli, is a small inhabitat River Island amid the mighty River Brahmaputra. The island is considered as the store house of the Vaishnavaite culture in the form of Satras. The Satras here are the vaishnavaite monastery established in the 15th century by the saint and cultural reformer Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradeva. These Satras are the prayer halls, a centre for practicing and performing art like Satrya dance (mythological dance), mask (clay and bamboo) making, Bhaona (drama related to Hindu mythology), various religious songs and also the resident of the monks.

Explore the beautiful landscape and lifestyle of the people and opt to experience the Vaishnavaite culture displayed in the form of Satras. Also experience the rural lifestyle of the Mishing and Assamese village by taking a bicycle ride to the villages. Evening enjoy a cultural play perform by the Monks. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Majuli.

Day 4 Majuli/Neemati – Sivasagar (Drive, 1 ½ Hrs/ Ferry Ride

Post breakfast, drive to southern bank of the Island and cruise back to the mainland of Jorhat then drive further more to Sivasagar (80km). Sivasagar - it was the capital of the Ahom who Ruled Assam for Six hundred years. The town is a Major Tourist attraction for the Historical Monuments. At Sivasagar visit - Ranghar, (Amphitheatre), Talatal Ghar (Palace of the King), Karenghar (Palace of the King), Borpukhuri (manmade water Reservoir), and Shiva Doul (The tallest Shiva temple in the entire north east). Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Sivasagar,

Day 5 Sivasagar to nameri National Park

This day will be travelling to Nameri National Park (250km) is located in Sonitpur District at the foothills of eastern Himalayas with the the river Jia Bhoroli flowing through it. The park is the second Tiger reserve of Assam. Many rare animals inhabit the park and there are more than 376 species of birds seen here.

Day 6 Game viewing at Nameri.

Morning at 5:30 am take a walk through Nameri National Park (3 km). It is one of the very few National Parks where you can trek in the park. The trek begins as you embark on a boat to cross the breadth of the Jia Bhoroli river. Walk through the river bed and into the National Park, the closest you can get to nature!

Return to Resort for breakfast. Day free for leisure activities like rafting. Rafting (mild rapids) forms a day long adventure in a raft as you cruise along the waters of Jia Bhoroli river. The 2.5 hrs rafting will acquaint you with numerous birds. Later disembark at bank. Overnight in Nameri.

Day 7 Guwahati airport

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati airport (250km) to board the flight for your onward destination.
