Kaziranga National Park -A UNESCO World Heritage Site is the oldest national park in Assam, India located near banks of the Brahmaputra River. It is famous for one-horned rhinoceros. Guwahati, Jorhat and Tezpur is nearest airport from Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga to Guwahati distance approx 240 km .It will take approx 5 Hours drive to cover distance of kaziranga national park from guwahati. Kaziranga National Park divided into 4 Zone is Central Range, Western Range, Eastern Range and Burapahar Range. 4 Tourist routes you can enter to park. Open from November to April every year.
Timing for safari: - Elephant ride duration is approx 45 minutes & 1st ride: 5.00 am and 2nd ride - 6.00am
Jeep safari timing morning 7am to 10am is the entry timing.
Jeep safari in the evening 2 pm to 3 pm is the entry timing.
The park has 3 ranges- Central range / Western range / Eastern range and the duration of jeep safari is approximately 2 hours only.
Day 01: Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park
(Distance from Guwahati - Kaziranga is 280 kms 6 hrs. Approx)
Meet & Greet on arrival at the Guwahati airport/Railway Station & proceed to to Kaziranga National
Park, the home of the "One Horned Rhinoceros" (280 kms 6 hrs),
It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses .World Heritage Site
is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.Check in at your
hotel/Lodge/resort, Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day 02: Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore Eastern Zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from the
Rhino, other species found are hog deer, swamp deer, wild buffalo, elephants and if you are lucky
then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water
bodies inside the Park. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we have arranged a
jeep safari through the Central Zone of the National Park. Evening come back to the hotel.
Overnight stay will be at Kaziranga.
Day 03: Kaziranga National Park- Guwahati
(Distance from Kaziranga- Guwahati is 280 kms 6 hrs. Approx)
After breakfast drive to Guwahati (280 kms 6 hrs). Arrive and check in at hotel. Evening visit
'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture presents through Light and sound show or
take an evening cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra. Return to hotel. Overnight stay will be at
Guwahati.
Day 04: Guwahati
After breakfast check out from hotel visit Kamakhya Temple and with everlasting memories transfer
to Guwahati airport/railway station for onward journey.
