The Brahmaputra River (named as the Son of the Creator of the Cosmos, in Hindu mythology) is one of the holiest rivers of the World! Among all the rivers in the world, the mighty Brahmaputra, one of Asia’s major rivers at 2,900km long, continues to remain an enigma for many. Singer Bhupen Hazarika, a local icon, once wrote the song “Mahabahu Brahmaputra, Mahamilanar Tirtha” (The Brahmaputra with its huge arms is a pilgrim spot for a great gathering).

RV Charaidew cruise boat The Charaidew is a 38m long passenger boat which has been converted to offer 12 air conditioned en-suite cabins on the upper deck. On board there is a bar serving wine, beer and spirits and the cuisine is a mixture of Assamese (milder than most Indian cuisine) and continental. The open air sitting area on the top deck is the perfect place to sit back and watch the world go by or enjoy a sundowner after a day’s sightseeing.

The Sukapha is a new 38m long passenger boat with 12 twin bed cabins each with private bathroom.Cabins are spacious and well furnished with comfortable chairs so you can enjoy the riverside scenery. All cabins are located on the top deck of the Sukapha where the best views can be had.The saloon has French windows opening onto a front balcony deck and the dining room again has glass doors down each side. The large sundeck offers the opportunity to relax on comfortable cane rattan chairs and sunloungers. All cabins and public rooms on board are air-conditioned.

Food on board is a mixture of Assamese (milder than most Indian cuisine) and continental. Wines, beer and spirits are available. The M.V.
